Our reviews are built around a consistent framework. The goal is to make the trade-offs clear, not to produce a single number that hides important details. Every category below is explained in the review, and we show the pros and cons alongside the score.
Our rating categories
| Category | Weight | What we check |
|---|---|---|
| Safety & licensing | 25% | Valid licence from a recognised regulator, clear terms, responsible gambling tools, security practices, and track record. |
| Payments | 20% | Deposit and withdrawal methods for the target market, fees, stated processing times, verification requirements, and realistic payout reliability. |
| Games & software | 15% | Quality and variety of games, reputable providers, game filters, RTP information where available, and mobile performance. |
| Bonuses & promotions | 15% | Welcome offer terms, wagering requirements, game weightings, maximum bet rules, maximum cashouts, expiry, and ongoing value. |
| Support & reputation | 10% | Availability and quality of customer support, dispute handling, and credible signals from established review sources and player feedback. |
| Usability & mobile | 15% | Site speed, navigation, account management, clarity of key pages, and how well the mobile site or app works. |
Weights can shift slightly depending on the market, but safety and payments always carry significant weight.
How we apply the scores
- 90-100: Strong across the board with only minor, clearly disclosed issues.
- 80-89: Good overall, with some trade-offs that are reasonable for the market.
- 70-79: Acceptable in parts, but notable weaknesses in key areas.
- 60-69: Significant concerns or limited value compared with alternatives.
- Below 60: Major issues with safety, terms, or player protection. We are cautious about recommending these operators.
A low bonus score can drag down the overall rating, and a serious safety issue will cap the score regardless of other strengths.
What we do not do
- We do not accept payment to change a score.
- We do not guarantee placement in return for a commercial relationship.
- We do not rely solely on an operator’s marketing copy.
- We do not hide material terms in the conclusion.
Testing process
Where possible, we review the operator’s public pages, read the key terms (bonuses, withdrawals, and general terms), check the regulator register for licence status, and test account navigation. We may create a test account to check the flow, but we do not deposit large sums purely for review purposes.
Updates
If an operator’s licence changes, terms become materially worse, or we identify a serious issue, we update the review and adjust the score if appropriate.
Affiliate links
Some reviews include affiliate links. This is disclosed in our affiliate disclosure. The commercial relationship does not affect the rating.
