Pick a different newer place to stay
- My stay at the MGM Grand was frankly a letdown. The biggest headache was the elevators-half of them were out of service turning what shouldve been a quick trip to my room into a frustratingly long ordeal. Waiting 15-20 minutes just to get up or down was ridiculous especially in a place this size thats supposed to run smoothly. The atmosphere didnt help either. The whole resort reeked of stale smoke which clung to everything and made it feel less than fresh. Its Vegas sure but a little ventilation wouldnt hurt. Then theres the pricing-everything from food to drinks to basic amenities was outrageously expensive even by Strip standards. It felt like a cash grab at every turn. The staff didnt exactly improve things. Some were flat-out rude acting like they were doing me a favor by doing their jobs. The overall vibe of the resort was just dingy-worn carpets dated decor and a general sense that its coasting on its name rather than keeping up with expectations. For a place that markets itself as a premier destination it fell way short. Id think twice before booking here again.

Expencive smoke stinking dump!
- Expencive smoke stinking dump!Paid a sick price but due to we had to go for a congres we took it. Staff that had no information no service no knowlege- they thought working there would make them kings- and queens- it doesnt. Dirty room hair in the drain spots broken bathroom equipment showercurtain was stained mirrors stained toilet full of crap. Walls are so thin you can hear what is said in the other end of your neighbors phone. Carpet in the room was worn down and really dirky. Wallpaper torn full of wear marks. Main lamp in beedroom was so full of spots and stains it looked like it was never washed. Casino area is unhealthy smokefilled and smoke drags into every restaurant making it stinking like an old joint in the early 80. Det some ventilation! The prices in the hotel restaurants and shops was just plain stupid. Food was less than average oversaltet and rather chewy. A $100 MGM steak I would charge $15 in my restaurant. I tested chiken- it was so dry and tasteless it was a shame! I would rather stayed at a cheap motel and had a better experience.

The MGM
- The MGM is a beautiful hotel! We were able to check in early and the concierge was very good!! The food however has gone down hill. Went to eat at the MGM Grand buffet and the food was very underwhelming. It was almost like we were at the Golden corral rather than a signature hotel. Lazy River was wonderful however $30 for a drink was honestly a little bit ridiculous!! Overall it was a fun experience.

Do not pick this hotel
- Do not pick this hotel. The service is poor from start to end. The staff is rude they do not clean the rooms and they charge you $22 per bottle of water. These are the courtesy bottles that normal hotels leave on the tables free of charge. Forget this hotel.

I attended the Watch Party at the MGM…
- I attended the Watch Party at the MGM Grand for this year’s 2024 Super Bowl… What’s up giving out Raiders shirts for the Super Bowl where the Raiders are not even playing. We paid $500 each and that’s the cheapest gifts you try to hand out. Also shirts on the table again that had NOTHING to do with the game. My guess something left over from another event. I will never ever go back to this cheap old hotel…..

BAD Combo Hotel= Bad Customer Service (Arthur) + Bad No Show CHARGE policy on A PREPAID Confirmed ROOM
- I picked this hotel for our Vegas vacation because of my good experience visiting the restaurants and event place inside the property years ago (I was at Bellagio hotel back then ) and better price (Got what I paid for!) Now Im really traumatized because of the horrible abusive treatment from Manager Arthur.PROS1) Location is really good and you can use the monorail right outside. Walking around too is ok if you have the energy. 2) The vibe of the property is good as the people are of diverse age group and race.3)The Hakkasan club/bar and Morimoto restaurants are just one of the best places in Vegas.4)It is a big property with lots of happenings and things to do like watch Cirque du soleil and Jabbawockeez.5)Valet staff is very helpful and polite-- will assist in getting a cab (no UBER available).CONS1) Casino lobby reeks of cigarette smell and the area needs an update-- dingy carpets dark dirty lightings etc.2) Room- Really old and barebone! Only hand soap lotion shampoo conditioner(btw empty bottle upon check in) and body wash-- worst than a 3-star hotel. Water pressure in the shower is really weak toilet paper holder is broken and picture frame in the room has an old forgotten crack-- badly needs maintenance. (Housekeeping were good in that they tried to keep our room clean)3) No complimentary bottled water coffee whatsoever in the room. No coffee maker or airpot nor glass to use as well. No fridge to be used-- overpriced bottled waters and bar took the spot. 4) SuperBAD Customer Service from Manager. (Frontdesk Sofie/Dorie? who checked us in at 2AM was awesome and sorry I didnt get your name). The Manager called Arthur is horrible. I questioned the No Show Charge ($253.10) and instead of explaining he kept on dismissing my complaint like I dont understand their policy. I bought and prepaid an added room night stay last minute from MGM APP/SITE because we were arriving in an off hour time (delayed to 2AM)with a SPECIFIC NOTE of our ETA(confirming that we are definitely arriving!). I still got charged additional NO SHOW when we actually arrived(late)--even with a confirmation note to the management of our arrival in advanced. This almost amounted to me paying double --paying my own room and also paying again for showing late for my PAID room even if the management were informed of ETA which did not make sense to me(technically I have less than 9 hours use of the hotel upon arrival anyway so why am I being punished to pay again for my already paid room??). The manager tried to continue to intimidate me and bully me as a customer by threatening to call the security instead of showing the policy -- and this was because I was trying to look for that policy of no show and how I can be charged like that. We went back and forth with no resolution and no clear documentation on the issue and he still could not show anything from his part (he could only show me a no cancellation policy -- nothing to do with my concern and question). He became even more rude after and treated me like as someone causing disturbance after failing to show any explanation on their website regarding this weird charges as I continue to ask for it. I decided to apologize on my part if I was annoying him but I have told him again it felt like being robbed of my hard-earned money. Youd think hed apologize at least but NOPE-- this manager just continued to be as abusive atrocious and dismissive (w/continuous threat of calling security btw). The whole conversation revolved around Arthur being a a real bully being brash cutting me off and just threatening me for the disturbance.(tried to bully and shame the customer too for getting the other rooms from 3rd party business-really atrocious). He also accused me of tiktok bullying after I told him I would show to customers and record that documentation if there is any of the weird no show charge policy if he can show it( which he failed to find on their website). This person must have had received tons of complaints already (maybe TIKTOK real complaints too!) for this horrible abusive customer/person treatment and I could clearly understand why.To cut this very long review my last night of good stay was ruined by a very obnoxious abrasive manager who needs more customer service training good manners and care to customers. This staffs accusatory tone and issues regarding tiktok bullying from me was his own negative projection and was like the final straw that made me just step back. I obviously cannot say anything more that would make this broken and jaded staff help and listen. Will I stay again at MGM? Maybe if a good overhaul is done--specifically customer service management/manager training(This guy should not be in customer service industry)and hotel facelift.

Experience was less than favorable
- Experience was less than favorable. Understandably they were hacked and I expected some problems but I should have cancelled my reservation. If you are going I suggest you wait until they get their systems back up

Worst Hotel experience ever!
- Worst Hotel experience ever!We stayed at the MGM Grand Hotel for 6 nights and it was really bad.We had 5 big issues:Issue 1: We had been traveling for a whole 24 hours and had booked the hotel almost 2 months ahead. So we expected to quickly get into our rooms. But that didnt happen. They couldnt find our reservation even though we had already paid for it. We spent nearly 5 hours trying to fix this problem. The staff was very unfriendly and said we didnt have a reservation. This was their problem because their systems had not been working for a whole week before and during our stay.Issue 2: In one of our 3 rooms water started dripping from the ceiling in the middle of the night. It soaked everything. We had to move to different rooms because they couldnt give us 3 rooms next to each other. So we had to pack up in the middle of our stay and move to another room on a different floor.Issue 3: When we packed up and moved to the new rooms one of them hadnt even been cleaned. So we had to wait for an extra hour before we could change rooms again because of the long wait.Issue 4: After 2 days in the new rooms one of the rooms drainage stopped working. This meant we couldnt use the bath toilet or sink. We called the plumbing service but they took a long time to fix it. During the repair there was a big mess. They told us housekeeping would clean up so we went to dinner. But when we came back at around 10:30 at night the room was still very dirty with some sort of drainage substance. We had to call housekeeping again and they finally cleaned the bathroom.Issue 5: After all these problems youd think there wouldnt be more but that wasnt the case. In a different room the ceiling started leaking water first a little then a lot. After all these problems and interruptions the staff continued to be unfriendly and didnt help in a proper way. A hotel with such a famous name and high prices should definitely not have these kinds of serious problems.

Lacking in adminities in the rooms
- First the price given by the front desk when I called didnt include resort fee parking fee or any of the other incidental fees. There is even a fee to use the refrigerator in the room. Im surprised they dont have a fee for the toilet paper. I remember the days when parking was free and you could actually use the refrigerator.

Everyone knows your trash.
- Called the hotel to make a reservation and they told us they had no rooms next to each other to accommodate my family of 5. I asked if they had any two bed rooms suites which the did and she promised us a roll away for our 5th family member. We checked in around 2:30 for our $1800 room and they said they will send up our roll away right away. We then left the hotel to go to visit our family. When we came back at 8:30 we still had no roll a way. I waited on hold for housekeeping for 45 mins before calling the front desk. The front desk said they would send a bed up right away. Mind you I have twin 3 years that’s need a bed. After two more hours and no bed I got a hold of a pit boss that confirmed they were out of beds and we would not be getting the bed we needed to accommodate our family. So I went to the manager to complain and see what they could do. I told them I wouldn’t have paid $1800 for a room that couldn’t sleep my family and the manager just argued with me that they don’t guarantee beds. I said if we couldn’t have gotten a bed we could have went to another hotel. I said please listen to the booking because we were told five different times that we would have a bed. The first manager Sophia was so rude to us that we waited for another manager. He continued to be rude and actually called security on me and my family. They were unwilling to adjust the rate because it’s Friday night for a room they sold me without a bed for my family. So it is midnight now and they want to give me 10% not to have a bed and to have to sleep on the floor. I was not ok with this. They refused to move us to two other room or take care of the customer. Mind you I had already been gambling too. So while waiting for security I told them I want all my money back and we will leave the hotel. He refused while we continued to wait for security. I reminded him that the other manager said we could leave for a full refund. Finally Art was so frustrated that he agreed and I went to wake of my 3 year old twins and 13 year old daughter and pack up to move hotels. What kind of business does this to a family. It’s midnight and the rooms dirty…who else are they going to rent it to. So instead of keeping a customer for life they lost one life. We will never stay at an MGM property again or attend and concert at a MGM property. You threw out a family at midnight because you couldn’t honor what you promised. I will make sure that everyone knows this story of MGM treating a family this way. Both Sophia and Arthur need to go back to management training. When you can’t deliver what your team promised you need to make it right. Instead you kicked a family to the curb. You both lost MGM $1000’s of dollars that night and going forward. We weren’t even finished gambling that night. I guess instead of helping a family on their room that you couldn’t deliver on you thought it better to kick them out and make sure you’d make no money off of us.
