Adverts constantly move scrabble board

• I have been playing the AI on this for a couple of months as practice to improve my scrabble. Recently the ads have been resizing every few seconds and moving the scrabble board left or right so its now unplayable.

• the ai chooses itself to go first every time no system in place to stop people from waiting an unreasonable amount of time in the hopes that the opponent will give up

Game works fine then quits

• Game works fine then all of a sudden quits. Lost track of how many times Ive reinstalled and had to change user name. If it wasnt free it would be overpriced on second thought it is.

Talk about frustrating

• Talk about frustrating! I was ready to kick the benign messenger ... the computer. This is perhaps the worst iterations of Scrabble that Ive come across. I CONSISTENTLY get multiples of low scoring tiles which is a rare situation if playing off line. Also it does not accept many words that are accepted by the latest Srabble dictionary. Hate it... but play because Im addicted to the game.

• Personally would give no stars. Too many ads maybe they don’t want you to play. Ridiculous! This is for Words With Friends.

Does not work for me

• I have never been able to get this game to work even once. It always hangs when I try to start a game even against a bot opponent. I have tried different browsers and adjusted the timing. Nothing works

The Tile Distribution Favors the Computer

• The problem occurs when I am playing the hard setting. I constantly get a tile selection with either 5-6 vowels along with low value consonants or else only consonants. It makes it almost impossible to win against the computer. Also why does the computer always get the first turn?

Its tile selection algorithm is rigged

• Its tile selection algorithm is not random. It decides which player shall win based on some unknown criteria. The person destined to lose keeps getting all vowels or all consonants or i keep coming and opponents get choice bingo letters. If the tile selection were random such repetitive hopeless selections would be far less frequent than they are on this site.Thus no matter how much of a better player the designated loser is he has no chance against the rigged tile selection algorithm. Everyone plays a game based on the assumption that it is not rigged. But Playscrabble is not not rigged. That makes it untrustworthy.Today after a long hiatus I played a game. I was leading by 60 points. I had 1 minute left on my timer. I had three tiles including a blank. I wanted to finish the game by placing all tiles. That was easy. I had G E and a blank and GEE would complete the game. My placing these three tiles with the blank representing E on triple word score would have completed the game with 50 seconds to spare. But when I placed the blank the letter selection popup did not come up at all. I tried again and again after refreshing the page but it simply would not let me select E for the blank and I ran out of time. I guess they have a way to punish those who write reviews like mine. They have a back-door mechanism for disabling the letter selection pop-up for guys they want to lose.

• The point deduction is incomprehensible…The point deduction is incomprehensible and occurs even if you win. In my opinion this is manipulated to prevent you from getting a too high score and to ensure that everything appears to be in order at first glance. Something is wrong with this site.

Play Scrabble is the most frustrating…

• Play Scrabble is the most frustrating unethical site you could play on - how do players switch time left - I had about 7 min left - when my opponent eventually played after about 5mins they had gone done to 1.22 but as soon as they played our times switched over - I got his time and he took mine -this has happened multiply times to be a incident - it is faulty and has a lot of incidents

Frozen screen timed me out

• Frozen screen timed me out computer manages a 7 letter EVERY time whilst I get all vowels and have to swap tiles twice - very unfair game for actual people

Game play mechanics good; experience spoiled by irrational rating system

• Rating system (ELO) is opaqueOpponent quits game. Software says You won rating plummets. Que?Win 70 games out of 100. Displayed Win Percentage shown as 53%.

I have an it is OK/ hate relationship to this game

• This is the second time that I place and submit my move and the game spins and spins until the game times out. Technically I win but somehow it twists the victory and claims I timed out. I dont mind quirks now and then but this is just frustrating with grand master level already skewed to the AI to win (it always goes first seems to disallow words it has used prior etc.)

• You WILL be hacked on this site it is a cloned app and will allow access to your camera and microphone. Up to and even imbedding a rig kit in your device.On this site there are interactive communications that are not ai !Beware! I initially was hacked on Words With Friends and this site & app is utilized by the same individual/s.

Its not perfect but it is a good site…

• Its not perfect but it is a good site to play Scrabble on. Keep your eye on the timer and be aware that people cheat using the Wordfinder option but you can have a lot of fun on this site. The USA version has more players than the British version and doesnt accept zo and ze.

stupid system that allows things that…

• stupid system that allows things that arent even words and on top of that the computer allows letters that connect to or bisect existing words to add points on without forming actual secondary worlds

Computer skews game

• I like playing play scrabble.com if you choose the Hard option you keep getting 4 or 5 vowels from the second round onwards. You may get one ot two high point letters. The computer gets the high numbered letters and in every game it makes a seven letter word. It is almost impossible to score more than 250. I thought I was a very good player.

Keeps crashing

• Keeps crashing. I place tiles which the computer isnt acknowledging (when I submit my word it just keeps saying I havent) so I refresh and lose tiles along with the valid word I had in place.

Crazy Rules spoil what shouold be a good game.

• So you hit Start Game. Another player joins. You are the higher rated player so the opponent doesnt want to play and decides to cancel. You instantly lose anything up to 30 points on your rating. You havent played a word neither has you opponent - they just quit - and you lose. There are other traps. For example a lower rated player takes the lead early in the game so his game score is (probably) temporarily higher than yours. He pulls the plug mid-game. As long as he has the higher score when quitting he is said to have won. Whats this all about?
